Favorite Piece of Gear:
“The Ground Control/GCX is the best thing to happen to my rig in years. I run a bunch of pedals and it not only cleans up my sound, but i can also switch through the different whammy parameters i use throughout the set at the click of a switch, rahter then bending over and turning the knob (we have multiple whammy changes mid song). I’m also able to run my rack gear through their own loops, allowing me to bypass them if i’m having an issue at the touch of a button”

Favorite Piece of Gear:
“My favorite piece of gear that i would recommend for another guitarist to try would be either a volume pedal or the Pumaboard pedalboards. The volume pedal is perfect for dropping out of parts and instead of switching from clean and distortion with a pedal it gives it a perfect consistency of dropping out of parts and coming in louder/heavier in other parts. If you’re interested in a pedal board check out www.pumaboards.com”

“Now this is the tough part. It really depends because you obviously need to have a solid guitar so that is the most important thing. But i am going to assume that most people that are reading this already have guitarist. So i would say 2 things are awesome boosts to your sound. One being the Tubescreamer, i have the Ibanez TS808 and its great. Added saturation and a little natural compression that really smooths out and add clarity to your tone. And two being the integrated tube kit. I got mine off Eurotubes.com and they are very awesome for the style of music that we play. It seriously fattens up your tone and gives you the low end and body that many people search for and use EQ pedals and what not to reproduce. I used to do this but i like the natural tubes producing the tone sound so much better than the digital EQ boost. Both are great and relatively cheap ways to increase you tone.”

“Try out every cab that you can get your hands on. I think a lot of guitar players make the mistake of spednding thousands of dollars on amps and still play out of the shitty 4x12 they got when they were 16. A good cab can make all the difference in how you sound!”
